A Brief History of John Baldessari

you must see....thanks to Uppercase for introducing this to me today. Grab a cup of coffee and be ready to smile. (Perfect for that break when work is just not going the way it should be...)

gossiping ladies...

..how did these gossiping ladies come about, you ask? (alright, even if you didn't ask, I am going to tell you.) 
Step One: sketch a little in bed and come up with these two sisters. I wonder what they could be chatting about?

 Step Two: Scan these two lovely sisters and start playing around with their placement. Notice a pattern forming in the negative space? Definitely want to try working around that...love those negative spaces.

 Step Three: Come up with a good colour combination that would fit these fashionable girls, and do a final check by creating a large repeat.  Go grab a cup of coffee and come back to take another look.  Perfect!

Step Four: Listen really hard and try to figure out what they are talking about!

Tour de France

...the Tour is coming. Anyone else as excited as I am?  I have extremely fond memories of
my boys celebrating the occasion with their own little version of the race in our driveway.
(remember this?)

 ...that team car of theirs was unforgettable, as one strategically passed the water bottle
during the scary Alps stage.

...this is definitely one of those moments where I wish we could go back in time and
take another trip to the Tour.

thinking of boats...

 ...little Roger loved boats.

...perhaps of he thought of them hard enough, he could get the gift of dreaming about them too.
