...the first sketch for a larger piece.  I almost feel bad, because the tone of this work will change dramatically once the other figures are added.  I am feeling emotionally connected to him at the moment, and don't want to ruin that happiness of his! Perhaps I shall create two works, and allow him to keep hula hooping away in his own lovely world.

...it probably doesn't help that the skies are a bit grey, and the music I chose in the background is quite melancholy.  I guess it's like snuggling up to watch a really good tearjerker...you just need to give yourself an excuse to have a good cry.

...This is my alternative to watching Terms of Endearment, and oh how good it felt to let it out.
It can be quite therapeutic, no?

...Tomorrow will be another day, and if the sun decides to poke it's head out I might just switch to Cindy Lauper.  I wonder what will happen!

Father and Daughter - Michael Dudok de Wit

...I was just introduced to this lovely film...if you are in the mood for some teary eyes, then grab a cup of coffee or tea, snuggle in that blanket, and enjoy this beautiful film.

...these rainy days just beckon to stay in jammies all day and watch a film like this one!

knit knit knit

...Henry and Marge are just finding their way back into my work as of late. Apparently she has taken up even more knitting, and feels everyone in the family to do with a nice cozy creation of hers...

...I, on the other hand, am a wannabe knitter. Wish I could, have tried plenty, and aside from rectangles and squares, can't knit to save my life.  Oh, well....guess I will just have to stick to drawing!

tinkering about....

...trying to get comfortable with some watercolor today, and came up with this little pattern for an upcoming textile. It will be a backdrop to another frame pattern (similar to previous post), but I also
quite like it on it's own.  Thoughts?

...It's a rainy day today, which means my productivity goes up.  There's just something about
wearing a cardigan and listening to classical music on gray days that sparks something within.
When are you most productive?
