it's time to giveaway some fabric from my upcoming line with Robert Kaufman, entitled "A Day in the Life", don't you think?
I received my first cuts of the fabric a couple of weeks ago, and am just thrilled beyond words.....the boys especially had fun reading through the day in the life design, as it came straight from my own diary when they were little. (I used to document each day with the boys through a series of doodles.....)
most)
What's even more funny is the timing of this post, as I am frantically typing this announcement before my little one's 5-minute time-out is up. How's that for living the life of your design?
For this giveaway, I am going to give away two fat quarter packs, each with a variety of designs from my collection. (each winner will receive three fat quarters). You have until 10 pm EST Friday to leave a comment, and I would love to hear any ideas you may have for the fabric. Twitter, become a follower, blog about it, and you can count yourself in for up to 4 votes..... good luck!
p.s. please go visit my friend Laurie from Scarlet Fig...she is hosting a fantastic giveaway of her own!

Wow! This is such a great giveaway -- and the fabric is lovely, just as are all of your designs.
Thanks for the opportunity to get some fabrci!
Count me in!
I think I would actually frame some of the fabric. Would work as wall art too. :)
I'd love to make an apron with this, patchwork style! Or even cover my boring ironing board.... Awesome fabrics!
I would love to make something for my new baby with that. Hmmm...I've already made 12 bibs and 12 burp cloths. What else could I do? :)
Thanks for the giveaway!
Wow, what adorable fabric. Believe me, I can relate! I'd love to frame some of the black and white fabric, and I think I'd like to make some napkins too. Don't you think they'd make great dinner conversation?
I love this fabric!! I came over to visit from Laurie's site, but I will be back!!!
oh my gosh it's only 10 am??!!!
I love it!!!!
what fabulous crib sheets this would make!
Looooooooooooooooooooooove it!!!! the black and white would make a lovely dress for one of my dollies!!! :) :) :)
I love the black and white! I would include it in a low volume quilt.
Great giveaway, Sam! I would probably use the fabric to quilt...but then again, the fabric seems too special for that??? Natalie
your journaled every day?? in picture?? you are amazing!! i keep telling myself to get out the journals before another year passes!! fantastic! Id love to quilt this fabric into my sons 'big boy quilt'! thanks

Oh boy, I'd love to use this for a cushion for our high chair. I so relate to the "it is only 10am?" I think I said that today.
very neat.. love the coloring idea!
What wonderful fabric. I love the story behind them. I would love to make some kitchen type things with the fat quarters. Pot holder, candle mat, etc. Thank you for the chance.
I LOVE your fabric! And I would love to see it being used! I can`t sew, but I have a lot of creative readers who can make anything (I believe...), so if I win, I`ll give the fabric to one of my readers, and see what they can come up with!
Too yummy for words lady! These fabrics look gorgeous.
I'm about to screen print a repeat pattern next week so fingers crossed that it will work out, will show if it does! I agree with you about black and white prints, there's always something so clean and bold about them.
I think I would use your fabric in a bag or purse, something that you can show off and the fabric be seen in! ;0 x
Lovely indeed. I can see a 50's style apron with matching patchwork potholder!
Wow love the fabric, please count me in and thank you for sharing.
hey thanks for letting me take part of this event , i would love to use the black and white fabric for kitchen quilt towels add add colors on top as embroidery simple and bright .
These would be perfect for oven mitts!!!! So cute!
What a lovely fabric !
I would love to make a funny bag for me :)
Thanks for the giveaway.
Congratulations on your lovely fabric!! I too love simple black and white fabric. (I am collecting b/w fabrics for a king size quilt! Ambitious to say the least!)
If I was lucky enough to win your give away I would make myself a little skirt and maybe punch it up with embroidery!
Thanks for the chance to win!
We've all been there, thanks for the giveaway.
Oh, I am so glad I found you through Laurie! She suggested PJ's as a possibility for her Urban Circus, and I'm just gonna run with that idea. How satisfying it would be to fall asleep on the days disasters (and joys!) congrats to you and your new line!
Wow, your fabric is my life right now. It made me giggle AND remind me of the 100 things I have to do today. I have two little ones and I love the idea of having them color some in and hanging them in my kitchen (or the play kitchen for them). There are so many possibilities. Thanks Laurie for directing me to this sight.
I would love to make something into a wall hanging for my sewing room. It would be such a perfect reflection of my crazy life, sewing, writing, and wrangling small children all at the same time. It would serve as a reminder to me of how art can spring out of our daily lives.
I would love to use these for some zipper pouches I am making for friends for Christmas gifts!
The story you tell with that fabric is scary and wonderful. I would simply hem it and use it instead of wrapping paper to cover a baby shower gift. Maybe then it becomes a tea towel. A fabric coloring book would be neat too.
Those are so cute! I think these would go very well in a child's quilt.

I love your fabric line. There are so many ideas I have for it, but the first thing that I would make would be a project bag for my knitting, so I could show it off wherever I go.
I would love to cover some cork boards with the fabric! Thanks for the chance to win!
darling fabric. I'd love to try a mini quilt or maybe a cute skirt or two for my girls.

Thanks for the chance. You could make a great tote bag out of this.
This is a great giveaway. I have just found your blog through the Little Birds book, so will be checking it all the time now. I'd probably just look at it & stroke it for a while before I made it up.
I'd make baby pilchers, burp cloths and bibs from these gorgeous fabrics.
I just LOVE your fabric designs. I can see potholders and an apron and a quilt and . . . Oh my.

I am so excited for you with this new fabric line... so fun!
I would use it in my grand daughters room. I am not posting in hopes of winning, because I won the book... and I want to say I got it today,... it is FANTASTIC!!
Thank you.
My first thought was a ruffly apron, but now I'm leaning toward a table runner or mat. The diary aspect of the design would be such a unique conversation piece! Fun stuff!
love love love this fabric- what a great idea to put into a quilt with pieces of daughters toddler clothes!

Great fabric! I love the doodles!
I love your idea of coloring the fabric. I would let my kids go at it and then make them some aprons with them!
The idea of kids coloring it is so cute - I can definitely see that fabric in some cute things for my kids - pillows, aprons, etc!
I also follow on GFC

Maybe I would use it to trim some cafe curtains. Wonderful design.
Oh, I love your designs! So awesome! I'd totally do the embroidery idea on the black and white for a dish towel or a bib, a cafe' curtain or two.... An APRON!!! Wow, the possibilities are endless! A clothespin holder...
Love it all!
I became a follower in Google Reader. Can't wait to look back through your other posts!
I was just visiting your blog after seeing your design in the Little Birds book. How awesome to stumble upon a giveaway to boot! Would mentioning that I may use the fabric as make-shift gags when my kids get overly rambunctious disqualify me???
Became a follower. And not one of those "hang-on-a-bit-tighter-to-your-purse" kind of followers. Unless, of course, your bag is really cute. Then you just may want to watch yourself.
Certainly, some of this lovely fabric (white) would become a piece of wall art. I am also seeing some of this on the cover of a new cook binder. It would also work lovely as a patchwork table cloth. Just think of the possibilities!
I am now a follower!
What amazing prints. I love how your little ones are coloring it. So fun! These would be so cute for an patchwork apron.
I follow your blog now :)
Your work makes me smile.
Fingers crossed for me.
Jenny Rose
Congratulations on your collection! What is so sweet is your little boys coloring in the cute doodle designs. Perfect! Thanks for the opportunity to receive some of your new RK line. We need kitchen curtains so can look at this fabric every day. mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com
I would make tote bags or market bags for my friends. Maybe even a diaper bag!
Follow!
I am so excited about this giveaway! I would Tweet about it but you'd never see it - my tweets are private. Ever since I interviewed you for The Hub it has been really exciting for me to see how your shop is changing. I am so happy for you!
If I win the fabric I will probably include it in a quilt of some kind, or make a sweet knitting bag out of it.... it depends on how they strike me in person!
This fabric is great for a portable tablecloth. Having a severe food allergy even to my skin, makes eating out challenging. Making a tablecloth out of this fabric and taking it with us when we eat out, protects me, and is a great game for my 2 year old. Add orphaned game pieces as markers and "the first person to place their marker on something that begins with "ch" wins".....paying the bill. Unless it's my 2 yr old....
Thank you for offering this fabric as a giveaway. It's awesome!
I follow your blog :)
I think this fabric would make great kitchen accessories - I have a window in desperate need of a curtain too!
This is really cute, I love the idea of letting the kids color the black and white. I would probably be thinking apron with the material.

Congrats on your new line of fabric. I love the little line drawings and what a perfect idea to have little ones color in the illustrations. I can see how you could take those illustrations and fussy cut them into a quilt block and make a whole quilt with them. So fun.
O, jummy, I love those fabrics.... especially the expression: it's only 10 am? With three kids this is so true...... and did I say I love those fabrics? thanks for the giveaway.....
I just came over from Lauries blog & oh! I love your fabric! so cute :) I'd love to make some fussy cut hexagons :)
x
Great fabric. I love the black and white. An Apron was the first thing that came to mind, but who knows.
What great fabric. I agree that the black and white is awesome.
Thank you for the opportunity to place a comment and a chance to win some fabulous fabric. I would use it to make shopping bags for my family and friends.
Marge
This would make a cute diaper bag or tote bag. Thank you for the giveaway.

I think I am late for the giveaway, but that's okay. I just had to let you know that your fabric is UBER cute! I can so see myself sewing up a new apron, some pot holders, matching kitchen towels, and maybe even using some as the background to a memo board where I post the weekly meal plan.
Such a cute line! I could see some really fun things mad with this! Can't wait to see it! Thanks so much!
Such cute fabric! It would be great for little accessories - like a diaper pouch or crayon roll (using the black and white fabric that the kid can also colour in ;)).
Congratulations on the lovely fabrics!
The prints are beautiful!
I am sure they are even better in real life :)
Love the colours, the whimsy style and I think they can make anything cute enough to de adored - from baby items to a dress.
