I got the sudden urge a couple of weeks ago to try putting my dolls "on the wall", and have come up with these little portrait pieces. I am having fun putting these groupings together, and am a bit worried that I may have started a new obsession.....so you may be seeing many more of these in the days to come! any thoughts?

ooo... i love them! i hope i can scoop one up :) right now I'm running out of shelf space because they are full of toys!!! but i still have space on my walls- great idea!
Really great idea....I thought of the Victorian family paintings....With rocking horses and handmade toys in the parlor...Right up your alley ....so to speak. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

i adore them!
love these! big surprise......
They're wonderful--I actually made something kind of similar a while back but couldn't figure out what to do with it. I think they look smashing just as you have them pictured. (And what about something to do with a family tree? I'd love to see how these odd fellows are related to each other!)
wow! those are brilliant.
that is so so creative! oh my!
you know... i would love one of those as a brooch!!! that would be the cutest little thing...
Ohhh Goodness!!! I just love your work and your portrait dolls are fabulous!

oh my goodness. must have some.
thanks everyone! well, it looks like my "not so sure about it" feeling is unwarranted :) it's almost 11pm and I have been working feverishly to make some for the shop....look for them sometime tomorrow (probably after kiddie bedtime, as my five year old has been battling fever/asthma all week)
hey, pretty cool. Is there some type of stiff backing you could attach so they don't curve? Sorry, I'm just anal that way. I love the idea, and your work is so great anyway, I'm not surprised the feedback is positive.
